05.09.2021 - Ahoj Prague.
I am in Prague.
And I am so overwhelmed by all the impressions, which is why I have difficulties trying to find the words to explain them. If this text is chaotic then that’s because my brain is too.
I am walking through the streets of Prague, when I should probably be resting to recover from the hectic but beautiful days at the Tabook Festival in Tabor. Prague is very loud and fast compared to the little city. Also, I am on my own right now, unlike the past few days when I have been surrounded by people all day long. I am hungry too since it’s difficult to find any vegetarian food around here and I’ve mostly been feeding on Ice cream, cookies and jam sandwiches. I’m not complaining.
City walks are quite different from nature walks and it feels a little weird to walk through the unknown streets without a destination in mind. There are so many people, so many cars and so many directions and everything seems to be happening at once. I feel like I am in some sort of trance and only absorbing a fraction of what is going on around me.
So far I have met Jakob who speaks a little German and who apparently has ‘großes Durchfall’. Then, it has been proven to me yet again that it is almost impossible not to meet someone from Luxembourg, no matter where you are in the world. I have seen many, many burger places and lots of Ice Cream shops. I have earned some strange looks because I was wearing a mask even though that doesn’t seem to be a thing around here anymore. The houses here are very colourful and so are the dumpsters. Also, the red lights here go from green to red in only a second which is quite distressing.
Oh, and sometimes beer is cheaper than water around here.
So all in all.
Prague is beautiful.
I am traveling with my friend.
One of us got a tattoo.
I won’t tell you who.
Ahoj.
